Profile
Prof. Emre Okyay
Prof. Emre Okyay is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine, İzmir, and a faculty member of the university's IVF centre. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and completed his residency at Ankara Zekai Tahir Burak Women's Health Training and Research Hospital in 2005.
He joined Dokuz Eylül University as a lecturer in 2008 and obtained subspecialty certification in reproductive endocrinology, infertility and assisted reproductive technologies in 2010. He directed the Dokuz Eylül University IVF Centre from 2010 to 2015, served as Associate Professor from 2015 to 2025 and was appointed Professor in 2025.
His clinical practice focuses on assisted reproductive technologies in a high-volume tertiary setting and on gynaecological endoscopic and minimal access surgery, supported by a sustained record of managing complex reproductive cases. He has authored 33 international and 33 national publications and four book chapters.
