Dr. Kaan Eray Uzun
Dr. Kaan Eray Uzun is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology working within the Ministry of Health in Tekirdağ since 2022. He graduated from Yeditepe University School of Medicine (English medium) in 2013 and completed his specialty training at Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Medicine in 2021 with a controlled study of isthmocele incidence and depth after different caesarean uterotomy closure techniques.
He holds the GESEA Level 1 certificate (MIS Academy Europe, Leuven, 2022) and the GESEA Level 2 certificate (MIS Academy Europe, Leuven, 2024), and trained on the GESEA hysteroscopy and laparoscopy course at Ufuk University (2020), a laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery course in Samsun (2020) and the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Association's gynaecologic microsurgery course (2018).
His published work includes articles in international journals on obstetric transfusion, peripartum hysterectomy and the psychological dimensions of hysteroscopy and hysterectomy, book chapters on menstrual physiology and urogenital fistulae, and presentations on neovagina construction by the Wharton–Sheares–George method and on minimally invasive postpartum sterilisation.
