Overview

What does this involve?

  • A Hollywood smile is a coordinated multi-unit cosmetic redesign of the visible smile zone, typically 8 to 10 anterior units restored with porcelain veneers, ceramic crowns, or a combination — calibrated to the patient's facial proportions rather than a fixed template. The clinical goal is uniformity of shade, contour, and proportion across the smile arc, anchored in the midline, the lip line, and the canine-to-canine aesthetic zone.
  • A multi-unit redesign corrects the appearance of the smile without independently restoring each tooth in isolation. Where the underlying dentition is structurally sound, veneers are the more biologically conservative option because preparation is limited to the labial enamel; where individual teeth are heavily restored, structurally compromised, or endodontically treated, a ceramic crown is the more durable choice for those units. Most Hollywood smile cases combine veneers and crowns within the same plan, selected unit by unit.
  • Through the ATDERA Care Network, Hollywood smile treatment in Turkey is delivered as a coordinated pathway. Each case is reviewed individually by a verified partner aesthetic dentist before any plan is proposed, and the digital smile design is calibrated to the patient's facial proportions, lip dynamics, and reference imagery. Where a Hollywood smile case requires implant work for one or more missing or non-restorable units, a verified partner implantologist joins the pathway and the prosthetic plan is sequenced jointly.

Who is this for?

  • Adults seeking a coordinated aesthetic redesign of the visible smile zone, where uniformity of shade, contour, and proportion across multiple anterior units is the clinical goal rather than restoration of an individual tooth.
  • Patients with combined aesthetic concerns — intrinsic discolouration, mild misalignment, surface erosion, small interdental gaps, and shape irregularity — that are clinically addressed more proportionately as a single multi-unit plan than as a sequence of isolated treatments.
  • Patients with older multi-unit veneer or crown work that has discoloured, chipped, or marginally failed and is no longer serviceable, where coordinated replacement is preferred over piecemeal repair.
  • Patients with one or more missing or structurally compromised anterior units where the redesign plan requires implant placement alongside veneer or crown work, and where a coordinated pathway covering both surgical and prosthetic stages is appropriate.

Key considerations

  • Coordinated multi-unit anterior aesthetic redesign across 6 to 10 visible units, where uniformity of shade, contour, and proportion is the prosthetic goal.
  • Combined aesthetic concerns — intrinsic discolouration, mild misalignment, small diastemas, surface erosion, and shape irregularity — addressed more proportionately as a single coordinated plan.
  • Replacement of older multi-unit veneer or crown work that has discoloured, chipped, or marginally failed and is no longer clinically serviceable.
  • Cases involving one or more missing or non-restorable anterior units where the redesign requires combined implant and prosthetic work, sequenced jointly between verified partner clinicians.
  • Cases where a structurally compromised or endodontically treated unit within the smile zone is restored with a ceramic crown alongside veneers on adjacent sound units, within the same coordinated plan.

What to Expect

Before

Aesthetic Evaluation and Digital Smile Design

2–4 weeks before

A verified partner aesthetic dentist reviews your case remotely from clinical photographs, a recent panoramic radiograph, and a written aesthetic brief covering shade preference, tooth shape, and reference smile imagery. The digital smile design is calibrated to facial proportions, the midline, the lip line, and the canine-to-canine aesthetic zone — not to a fixed template. The review confirms the unit count, identifies which units are restored as veneers and which as crowns, and rules out the need for adjunctive treatment such as orthodontic alignment or implant placement before any travel plan is made.

On-Site Consultation, Mock-Up, and Try-In

1 day before

On arrival in Turkey, the patient meets the partner aesthetic dentist for an in-person consultation, intra-oral examination, and digital impression. The diagnostic mock-up — built from the digital smile design — is tried on the patient's unprepared teeth so shade, contour, length, lip support, and midline alignment are reviewed before any irreversible step is taken. Adjustments to the design are agreed in writing before the preparation appointment is scheduled. Where implant work forms part of the plan, the verified partner implantologist confirms the surgical sequence at the same visit.

During

Tooth Preparation and Digital Impression

4–6 hours per arch

Under local anaesthesia, the prepared units are reduced to the depth specified by the agreed mock-up — typically 0.3 to 0.7 millimetres of labial enamel for veneer units and a circumferential reduction for crown units. A digital scan is taken and sent to the on-site ceramic laboratory for fabrication of the multi-unit case. Provisional veneers and crowns are bonded over the preparations as a coordinated set so the patient leaves the appointment with a functional and aesthetically acceptable interim restoration during fabrication.

Final Bonding and Cementation

4–6 hours per arch

Once the laboratory has fabricated the definitive multi-unit case, the patient returns to the clinic for the bonding appointment. Each unit is tried individually and as a set, shade and fit are confirmed against the agreed design, and the ceramic is bonded — veneers with light-cured resin cement following enamel etching and silane protocols, crowns with the cement system specific to the chosen ceramic. The midline, occlusal contacts, and lip dynamics are reviewed and adjusted, and surface polish is finalised across the full case.

After

Aftercare and Long-Term Review

5–7 days in country

Patients follow a soft diet for the first 24 hours and avoid hard biting on the restored teeth for the first week while the bonded ceramic stabilises. The ATDERA care coordinator schedules a 24-hour in-country review with the partner aesthetic dentist and remote video reviews within 1st week and 3rd month with the clinician on file. Annual reviews of multi-unit shade match, margin integrity, and occlusion are coordinated remotely thereafter, supported by clinical photographs. Where implant work formed part of the plan, the implantologist's follow-up cadence runs in parallel.
