At a glance
GESEA Level 2 is the Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon (MIGS) certificate of the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE), the level after the GESEA Basic Level. This Ankara edition pairs two days of faculty-led training with a certification session on 21 February 2027, subject to ESGE confirmation.

Reproductive Medicine and Surgery AssociationGESEA Training Center · AnkaraGESEA is the certification programme of the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, and the official Level 2 certificate is issued by ESGE. Training takes place at the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Association GESEA Training Center — listed in ESGE’s GESEA centres directory as a Diploma centre — hosted at Ufuk University’s continuing education centre (UFSEM). The Level 1 and Level 2 e-learning is provided by the ESGE Academy.
Logos and marks are the property of their respective organisations. ATDERA organises the programme with the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Association; the official GESEA Level 2 certificate is issued by ESGE under the GESEA programme on successful assessment. The 21 February certification session is subject to ESGE confirmation.
The Level 2 MIGS Pathway
GESEA Level 2 — the Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon (MIGS) certificate — documents the knowledge and more advanced psychomotor skills needed to start performing basic endoscopic procedures in the operating room. The Ankara programme builds on Level 1 with timed LASTT2 exercises, a four-exercise suturing course and mentor-validated hysteroscopy before the scheduled certification session.
Designed for physicians who hold the GESEA Level 1 certificate or a Level 1 bypass approved by the GESEA committee.
The longest block of the programme is laparoscopic suturing: four SUTT2 exercises with both hands, under trocar conditions.

The fee for each route is shared after academic review; fees are collected in GBP and are subject to VAT. Lunch and coffee breaks are included on the relevant attendance days. The GESEA Level 1 and Level 2 e-learning is not included: it is obtained separately and directly from the ESGE Academy.

Who Should Apply
Applications are academically reviewed against the GESEA Level 2 entry requirements and each applicant’s endoscopic experience.
The Level 2 e-learning is available through the ESGE Academy membership plan and is obtained separately and directly from ESGE; it is not included in the programme fees on this page. Bypass applications are reviewed by the responsible GESEA committee, not by ATDERA.
Route check
A short self-check before you apply. It suggests a route and preselects it in the application form; the academic review still makes the decision.

Essential Information
Still deciding? The programme office answers on WhatsApp and by email.
Ask on WhatsAppFor certification, yes — or a Level 1 bypass approved by the responsible GESEA committee. A bypass is requested through the GESEA online platform (OSP) and requires a letter signed by your Head of Department confirming experience in major laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures, together with proof of attendance at a recognised suturing workshop. A bypass does not replace any Level 2 requirement, including the e-learning, and ATDERA does not assess bypass applications.
The 21 February 2027 certification session is planned under the GESEA Level 2 (MIGS) rules at the Ankara training centre and is subject to ESGE confirmation. The official GESEA Level 2 certificate is issued by ESGE only after successful completion of TESTT2, LASTT2, SUTT2 and HYSTT2.
The GESEA Level 1 and Level 2 e-learning modules on the ESGE Academy must be completed before the certification session, with your Academy account linked to your OSP account. The Level 2 module is available through the ESGE Academy membership plan and is obtained directly from ESGE; it is not included in the programme fees.
The Level 2 certificate is awarded on the examination taken at a certification session. The MIGS Diploma is a separate, later step: an ESGE review of surgical videos of five different procedures, applied for after the certificate. This programme prepares for and schedules the certificate, not the Diploma.
Yes. Select the training-only route for 19–20 February. It includes a co-branded certificate of attendance, not the official GESEA Level 2 certificate.
Yes. The certification-only route is scheduled for 21 February. Every Level 2 prerequisite — the Level 1 certificate or an approved bypass, and the Level 1 and Level 2 e-learning — must be in place before the session.
Payment is requested only after academic review and written acceptance. Accepted applicants have three business days to complete payment in GBP.
A further attempt can be booked at a future official session and is charged separately at the then-current certification fee, subject to the applicable GESEA rules.
Lunch and coffee breaks are included on attended programme days. Accommodation and local transfers are not included, but can be arranged separately after contacting the programme office.
The programme is planned for a cohort of up to 20 participants. Station planning will be configured for that cohort size.
Applications are accepted until 4 February 2027 at 23:59 Türkiye time, subject to academic review.
